Lucent
Prepare your Amazon listing & A+ images before you upload — diagnose the problems, optimize in one click, and export a marketplace-ready file. All on your own computer.
Diagnose, compare before/after, and export — all on your machine.
Sharp on your screen, soft on Amazon
Images made with ChatGPT, Midjourney, Canva and the like are easy to create but rarely prepared for a marketplace. They can have the right pixel dimensions yet still look soft, blurry, or off-colour after Amazon resizes and re-compresses them. Lucent is a desktop app that helps you understand why — and fix it — without Photoshop.
What it does
Preparation score
Every image gets an overall readiness score (0–100) plus nine category grades — size, sharpness, compression, colour profile, text clarity, format, and more — each explained in plain language.
One-click optimization
Resize to the right target, convert to sRGB, apply light output sharpening, pick the best format, and strip metadata — Conservative, Balanced, or Strong. Applying it raises the score, so you can see the gain.
Before / after slider
Drag to reveal the original against the optimized version in one fixed frame — both stay pinned at the same size so you compare, not guess.
Estimated after upload
A local approximation of how the image may look once Amazon resizes and re-compresses it — so soft AI textures and blurry text surface before you publish, not after.
Mobile preview
See the image inside a phone frame on a mock listing page — the way most shoppers actually browse — to catch text and icons that get too small.
Batch & presets
Auto-detect each image or pick an Amazon preset (main image, A+, banner, comparison chart…). Process a whole listing at once and export to a single folder.
Diagnose first, then optimize
Diagnose
Drop an image in. Lucent scores it and lists exactly what might make it look soft or off after upload.
Optimize
Apply the recommended fixes with one click and watch the preparation score rise.
Export
Save an Amazon-ready file — locally, no account, no upload to anyone.
Your images never leave your computer
Lucent is local-first. All image processing happens on your machine — no account, no subscription, no cloud storage, no paid APIs, and nothing uploaded to anyone. It's open source under a permissive licence.
